About Us

Each year, Young Leaders of America receives middle school and high school students from across the nation who have been selected by their teachers to attend our week-long leadership conference on Clearwater Beach. Parents bring their students to attend workshops, take part in teambuilding exercises, and listen to outstanding motivational speakers. Our students learn about reaching higher, as well as how to set and achieve their goals. Taking a hands-on approach with our activities, students will gain experience working with others in a constructive manner. We both work hard and play hard throughout the week, giving our students an alternate view of their leadership style. Our last session of the week is inclusive of our student’s parent/guardians, where we will showcase their accomplishments throughout the conference. We have been so blessed to have found the talent required to make each year very special to all students who participate in the program. We look forward to meeting all of our new students and providing them a life-changing experience!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to inspire our youth to go above and beyond, and to follow their dreams to become the future leaders of America.

Our vision is to provide our students the tools to recognize their leadership potential no matter what circumstances they face in life. This vision will be put into action by using powerful motivational speakers, leadership training, team building exercises, and goal-setting workshops. This hands-on approach will create an amazing leadership experience that will impact students for the rest of their lives.

WHO WE ARE
Jeffrey Sutliff

Born and raised in Owosso, Michigan. In 2006 I moved to Florida with my wife Marcie and son Jayden. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration and  have an extensive background in sales, management, marketing and consulting for over 30 years. I have trained and mentored many employees throughout my career and have always had a passion for coaching people in leadership and achieving their goals. This passion comes from the values that my parents and teachers impressed upon me early on. My parents always believed in me and have given me a tremendous amount of support with all of my endeavors. I can remember when I was in middle school and was faced with peer pressure and making the right choices. I am so thankful that because of the lessons I learned at a young age that I surrounded myself with friends who were like-minded and shared the same values. I am very excited to help make a positive impact on your children, and look forward to meeting our young leaders and showing them how they can reach higher to achieve success in life!

Marcie Sutliff

I am originally from Swartz Creek, Michigan and relocated to Florida in 2006 to enjoy what I consider paradise. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and have been in the field for over 16 years. I have worked with a variety of age groups from school-aged children to geriatrics in all different settings. I have been in management for several years and have embraced my leadership role. My parents inspired me by their hard work and dedication with any role that they took on. They also instilled in me positive core and family values through their teaching, direction, unwavering love and support. I have always had a passion for working with children and look forward to working with yours! Outside of work, I am the proud mother of Jayden Davis Sutliff, whose vision is the motivation behind our work.
